ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffalo (CIRB), Hisar, organized a National Workshop on “Way Forward for Resilient Buffalo Farming: Integrating Climate-Smart, Precision, and Digital Technologies” on 26th October 2025.
Dr. M. L. Jat, Secretary (DARE) & DG (ICAR), graced the event as Chief Guest and emphasized the need for โOne Nation, One Purpose, One Narrativeโ in agricultural development. He highlighted the role of data quality, AI integration, and technology-driven approaches for enhancing buffalo productivity and farmersโ prosperity.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, BASU, Patna & President, ISBD; Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, DDG (Animal Science), ICAR; and Dr. Rajbir Singh, DDG (Agricultural Extension), ICAR, were Guests of Honour.
The workshop brought together over 100 scientists, industry partners, and farmers from multiple states to deliberate on strengthening buffalo farming with climate-smart, precision, and digital interventions. It showcased AI, drones, sensors, and solar-based innovations for sustainable livestock development.
The event also featured exhibitions, field visits, and release of publications, underlining ICARโs commitment to resilient, technology-driven buffalo farming for a Viksit Krishi โ Viksit Bharat.
