Transfer of Technology & Entrepreneurship(TOTE)
Institute is engaged in extension activities for propagation of knowledge on buffalo breeding, feeding, reproduction, health and management to the farmers through regular visits by the scientists/technical personnel to 10 adopted villages, organizing trainings, demonstrations, lectures, calf rallies and treatment camps etc. Animal health checkup camps are regularly organized in different districts of Haryana every month with the collaboration of PNB Farmers Training Center, Saccha Khera. The Institute is also working on Field Progeny Testing Programme in 10 villages around Hisar under Network Project on Buffalo Improvement. Besides buffalo mela which is organized on 1st February, i.e. the foundation day of the institution. In this event best buffalo owners and bull owners of the state participate every year with lot of enthusiasm. It is also endeavored to form an association of Murrah breeders’ at the state level.
