Agreement for Commercialization of Area Specific Mineral Mixture

ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes entered into an agreement for a period of ten years on non-exclusive basis with Titanic Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. on 5th May 2016, for commercialization of Area Specific Mineral Mixture (ASMM) developed by the scientists of the Institute. Under this agreement, ICAR-CIRB will provide the know-how of the said ASMM technology to Titanic Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. Use of ASMM is very important for scientific feeding of buffaloes to meet their nutritional requirements. Supplementation of rations with ASMM helps to improve production. It also helps to reduce reproductive problems in buffaloes.

At present, CIRB is preparing ASMM for demonstrating the technology to farmers and for use in the ration of buffaloes on its own farm. The institute is not manufacturing ASMM on large scale. Considering the popularity of ASMM among farmers and increasing demand, this agreement was signed so that its commercial production can be initiated and large number of farmers may benefit from its use. The agreement was signed by Director, CIRB Dr. Inderjeet Singh and Director, Titanic Pharmaceuticals, Sh. Chandi Ram. On this occasion Dr. B S Punia, Head, Division of Animal Nutrition & Feed Technology, Dr. V.B. Dixit, In-charge Institute Technology Management Unit, Sh.
